Voice quality is difficult to quantify and it is usually measured with a subjective metric called the Mean Opinion Score (MOS). In MOS testing, listeners judge the quality of voice encoders by scoring them with numbers ranging from 1 (very poor) to 5 (excellent).
The voiceNow! Communicator ranked 4.12 on the MOS test, demonstrating a high voice quality similar or better than that found in regular telephone communications. More specifically, the voiceNow! Communicator technology ranked very close to land-line quality and better than toll-quality.
